Learn more about the role below…
The Club:
A Harry Colt-Designed Course
Designed by renowned architect Harry Colt in 1920, Sudbury’s par-70 course combines natural beauty with a rewarding challenge for golfers of all standards. Rolling, tree-lined fairways, pulpit greens and four distinctive par-3 holes showcase Colt’s design expertise.
Outstanding Facilities
The clubhouse is continually enhanced, with a terrace offering spectacular views.
Practice facilities include two covered bays, a USGA-specification short-game area, a putting green and two nets near the clubhouse. These complement the club’s standing as a preferred venue for major county amateur championships and finals. A 2017 investment of more than £300,000 in irrigation supports the course’s long-term condition.
The Role :
The successful candidate will work closely with the General Manager, taking primary responsibility for overseeing the Club’s Bar department, whilst also playing an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the entire Club.
Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager is not essential. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, leadership qualities and willingness to learn and develop.

- Work closely with the General Manager to support the overall operation of the Club, including golf operations, clubhouse facilities, events and member services.
- Assist in the organisation and delivery of Club functions, competitions and social events.
- Build strong relationships with members, guests and colleagues, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
- Support the General Manager in improving operational efficiency, service standards and the member experience.
- Ensure high standards of presentation, cleanliness, health and safety.
- Take an active role in the continued development and success of Sudbury Golf Club.
