In September 2017, HMRC will make it a requirement for all businesses using their online tax accounts to register for 2 Step Verification (2SV). This introduction is intended to provide greater security and a safer experience for customers when using HMRC’s online services.
If you are not already using 2SV then when logging into tax accounts from September you will be asked to register for 2SV which is stated to be quick and easy to setup. 2SV will add a layer of security to your club’s Government Gateway credentials; instead of only relying on something you ‘know’, like a User ID or Password, there will be an additional level of something you ‘have’, like a mobile or landline....Please LOGIN to read the full article.
