One of the most prestigious golf clubs in the world has announced a partnership with Obbi to enhance safety, compliance, and training.
Royal County Down Golf Club has announced its partnership with Obbi, a leading safety, compliance, and training management platform, as the club recently hosted the highly anticipated Irish Open 2024.
This year’s tournament saw top golfers including Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry returning to compete, alongside defending champion Vincent Norrman.
The decision to collaborate with Obbi follows a thorough evaluation process, during which Royal County Down selected the platform for its comprehensive and user-friendly approach to streamlining key operational tasks.
Obbi brings together all the separate elements of safety and compliance like checklists, staff training, and risk assessments into one easily manageable place. With a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for both members and guests, this partnership will allow Royal County Down to focus on its world-class service by streamlining safety, compliance and training.
“We are delighted to bring on another world class venue like Royal County Down to add to our portfolio of fantastic clubs,” said Gareth Macklin, CEO of Obbi. “Our customer base ranges from six of the world’s top 20 clubs, as well as 80 smaller private members clubs across UK and Ireland, and recently the USA and New Zealand.”
Although the club is in the early phases of integrating the Obbi platform, both parties are confident that the full implementation will lead to significant improvements in day-to-day operations, with long-term benefits that extend across safety, compliance, and training management.
“We’re excited to work with Obbi and anticipate great things as we move forward with the implementation,” said David Morgan, Secretary at Royal County Down Golf Club. “Our goal is to improve our operational efficiency so that our team can continue focusing on delivering a premium experience for our members and guests.”
This partnership represents Royal County Down’s ongoing commitment to operational excellence, aligning with the club’s long-standing reputation as a global leader in golf.
