The GCMA was incredibly saddened to learn of the death of the former PGA CEO and well-known golf industry figure Sandy Jones, who passed away at the age of 74 after a short illness.
Pictured above speaking at the 2015 GCMA Conference, Sandy worked closely with the association during his tenure as PGA chief executive.
Sandy joined the PGA in 1980 and served it until his retirement in 2017 after a stellar career that saw him become one of golf’s most influential and respected administrators. In recent years Sandy was chairman of the PGAs of Europe, and president of the Golf Foundation.
Our thoughts are with our friends at the PGA, and you can read their full tribute to Sandy here.
Finally, on behalf of the entire GCMA community, we send our condolences and best wishes to Sandy’s family.
