The association’s CEO believes the tie-up with the apparel company will deliver a positive impact for members, their golf clubs and the industry as a whole
GCMA chief executive Tom Brooke has hailed the association’s new strategic partnership with Under Armour.
Staff at the Bristol HQ will wear the apparel company’s clothing, which will also be made available to members, while Under Armour will play a key role in supporting the GCMA’s drive to cement golf club managers at the forefront of the industry.
Represented by PJH Brand Management, which is owned by Richard Palmer-Jones, in the UK and Europe, Under Armour will be involved in the association’s forthcoming national conference this autumn as well as supporting the developing educational programme and plugging in to various sub groups.

Brooke said of the collaboration: “We’re absolutely delighted to be working with Under Armour and welcoming them to the GCMA team as one of our Strategic Partners.
“It really is a great compliment to our association that such a highly respected and well recognised brand as Under Armour have chosen to work with us and I’m extremely grateful to Richard and his team for their input and involvement with us so far.
“We’ve had several conversations with Richard in recent months and his vision for Under Armour, for the game of golf and for our partnership are so engaging and inspiring.
“What really is particularly exciting about this partnership is the mutual commitment to supporting personal development, leadership skills and wellbeing and the positive impact that this could deliver for our members, their golf clubs and the industry as a whole.
“I should also mention that the new GCMA branded Under Armour merchandise looks great as well, thanks Richard!”
