Whatever you think about the World Handicap System, it’s time to make those views known to golf’s two big governing bodies.
The R&A and USGA have put together a new survey about WHS and are asking clubs and golfers to participate.
It’s the first time since the new system was introduced globally at the start of the 2020 there has been such a consultation exercise.
With the Rules of Handicapping on a four-year review period, and tweaks considered on an annual basis, the survey is a chance to make your voice heard.
It is being carried out by independent sports research company Sporting Insights and is open for the next three to four weeks.
The R&A and USGA have stressed they are looking for honest feedback and insights, saying they are “invaluable to the ongoing review of the Rules of Handicapping and the Course Rating System, which have accuracy, consistency and equity as core principles – as well as enhancing the enjoyment of the game of golf for everyone.”
Individual responses to the survey are confidential and anonymous.
