We've had a call from a member regarding a possible credit card fraudster who has booked to pay a green fee online. This person only paid a deposit amount of £46 (even though there is no mention or facility to pay only a deposit) on a green fee of £160. Much like the credit card scams we saw last year, the individual called a couple of days later asking for a refund with different card details. What's new about this possible fraud is that the amount of money is much lower than in previous fraud attempts. We hope this is an isolated incident, however, if you or your teams notice any suspect activity please report it to the Police
