Over the coming weeks, we will be putting each of the 11 Advanced Management Programme Certificates under the spotlight.


The newly launched GCMA Advanced Management Programme consists of four Awards and 11 Certificates, each developed and created in association with specialist training providers and industry experts.

  • Assessing Risks
  • Controlling Risks
  • Understanding your Management and Legal

  • Identifying Hazards
  • Investigating Accidents and Incidents
  • Protecting our Environment
  • Written Examination and Practical Assessment
  • The course consists of a written examination at the end of the course and delegates will also be required to undertake a practical assessment back in the workplace

  • Golf Club Managers
  • Deputy Golf Club Managers aspiring to become a Golf Club Manager
  • Operations Managers, Department Heads, Membership Managers or similar roles

Learning and Development Outcomes for YOU and YOUR CLUB

Upon successful completion of this course, delegates will receive a Certificate in Managing Safely from the internationally recognised Institution for Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

You will develop the skills and knowledge that a high performing Golf Club Manager must have in order to be able to effectively manage Health and Safety procedures and practices at your Golf Club, including:
