Changes to the Licensing Act 2003 (England & Wales)

The recent passing of the Deregulation Act 2015 on 26th March saw some changes to the Licensing Act 2003 come into force.

  • Since 1 April the requirement to renew personal licences has been abolished.
  • Since 6 April there has been a relaxation to the provision of regulated entertainment prior to 11pm
  • From 1st January 2016 a single premises will now be able to apply for a maximum of 15 (previously 12) Temporary Event Notices (TENs) per year.
