The theme for the 2025 Golf Club Management Conference & Exhibition: ‘Future Ready’

This year’s theme hones in on the challenges and opportunities presented by an ever-evolving landscape in the golf industry.

As the golf industry faces rapid change, we are proud to announce the theme for the 2025 Golf Club Management Conference & Exhibition: ‘Future Ready’.

It is a timely and topical theme, with the evolving landscape presenting challenges and opportunities in equal measure, and CEO Tom Brooke is eager for the Association to help equip industry professionals with the tools and knowledge to tackle what lies ahead.

“It’s time for us to start looking to the future,” he said. “The management of golf and our clubs is going to need to look very different in the generations ahead, and we need to get Future Ready — now!

“The golf participation ‘boom’ is beginning to slow down, with participation trends of the next generation of golfers looking increasingly different. Along with this, there is a shift in lifestyle and expectations — golf clubs are now being called to offer more flexible membership options and a wider variety of services.

“At the same time, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to attract and retain people in the workforce, and rising costs are putting added pressure on clubs. The growing need for clubs to manage their environmental responsibilities, both on and off the golf course, further compounds these challenges.”

Despite these obstacles, he sees tremendous opportunity.

“In amongst these challenges, there exists a huge amount of opportunity for the clubs that are at the heart of the game of golf,” he added.

“Golf Club Managers are at the forefront, providing the leadership that our wonderful industry needs to continue developing and growing into the future.”

The 2025 Golf Club Management Conference & Exhibition will focus on three key pillars to help clubs become Future Ready:

🔹 Strategy – Preparing for challenges & opportunities
🔹 Sustainability – Building resilient, responsible clubs
🔹 Success – Achieving long-term excellence

This year will also mark the first that the biennial conference, always a cornerstone of GCMA’s event calendar, will be rebranded as the Golf Club Management Conference & Exhibition. This rebranding is part of our ongoing efforts to expand the conference’s reach and impact.

The aim is to build on the event’s long-standing success while broadening the audience to include anyone involved in the management of golf clubs — whether they’re directly involved in operations or contribute to the broader management and strategic goals of clubs.

By making the event more inclusive, we hope to open its high-quality education to a wider network of professionals, all of whom will play a key role in navigating the future of the golf industry.

The event will be held from 16–18 November 2025 at De Vere Cotswold Water Park, Wiltshire.

We invite Golf Club Managers and industry professionals to join the conversation about the future of the industry and the leadership needed to navigate the evolving landscape. Stay tuned for speaker announcements and more event details.

Be Future Ready.
