As previously reported, CONGU were considering a number of changes to the Unified Handicapping System for implementation in 2016.
These changes have now been discussed and will be implemented from 1st January 2016.
A number of proposals including the following were agreed: –
- 4BBB allowance to change to 90% instead of current three quarters (75%)
- Supplementary Scores accepted from all GB & I clubs that a player is a member.
- 9-Hole Supplementary Scores will now be accepted.
- CSS Calculation for men will now include Category 4 players. Ladies’ calculations already include Category 4.
Several other decisions were also agreed and these can be found on England Golf’s website.
England Golf will be hosting a number of handicap sessions, in October/November 2015, to help put these changes into context.
