BTME is Europe’s premier turf management exhibition and we were on the ground in Harrogate for a productive few days.
We were delighted to return to Harrogate for BTME 2025 this week, with three members of the GCMA team on the ground.
CEO Tom Brooke, Professional Development Manager Gareth Morgan, and Partnerships Manager Darren Wood were in attendance, supporting our friends at BIGGA.
Europe’s premier turf management exhibition sees thousands of visitors descend upon the Yorkshire town for an unmissable mixture of education, networking and conferences.
All of that sits alongside a sprawling exhibition and trade show that brings together recognised brands from across the golf industry, some of whom are GCMA Business Partners.
Each year we are seeing more club managers and GCMA members attend the event with their course manager and greens team, demonstrating the continued development and support for two key roles vital to the success of any golf club.
The three-day visit proved a productive one for Tom, Gareth and Darren, who met with a number of key figures across more than 20 meetings to discuss shared opportunities as they promoted the GCMA brand at one of the biggest events in the golf industry calendar.
Our Advanced Management Programme was a recurring topic of discussion, with positive engagement across the board, as we caught up with representative of leading bodies such as The R&A, England Golf, Scottish Golf, and of course BIGGA, along with business partners including The R&A Sustainable Agronomy team, Reesink, Rain Bird Tickbox and Golf Finance.
BTME again clearly demonstrated the vital importance of industry stakeholders working together for the greater good.
The GCMA would like to commend BIGGA for putting on another excellent BTME and we are already looking forward to 2026 as we continue to work towards a greater team culture between club managers and greenkeeping staff.
